One of the most crucial reason that has attracted many towards getting a tattoo is the need for constant inspiration. Word of advise, if you don't speak Greek, or the tattoo artist doesn't speak Greek, don't do this. I'm getting a tattoo in Greek in a few weeks and I wanted to double check the translation before I get it tattooed. Why do u want something on u for the rest of ur life if u dont even understand the true meaning of it enough to respect it. if ur name is a greek name that ur translating then fair enough but for real get ur own cultural language tattoo on yourself. If you need any help translating words or phrases i would be more than glad to help you.
Also - I have a dgree in Arabic, I ahve lived in an Arabic speaking country adn whilst I woudl never claim to be an expert on Arabic cultures do have a connection to Arabic through my experiences and friends, taht is why I would consider having a tattoo in Arabic because it would mean something to me. But I also appreciate for others it looks beautiful, so fair play.
Once you decide the words that you want, talk to your artist about the different possibilities in which you can design the tattoo. You don't have to stick to black color for word tattoos, go for your favorite color, or multiple colors; choice is yours! A participant who does not want the word s/he is given may withdraw from the project altogether, but will not be allowed to apply for another word in hopes of getting a better” one. The words have been chosen for the purposes of the story, not for their suitability as decorations. You are free to choose the site of your tattoo, except in the case of words naming specific body parts.
The tattoo need not be in a place that is commonly visible (under your hair would be acceptable, for example) but must remain so long enough to be documented in a photograph. There are many guys and girls that are getting words inked on themselves instead of a full on symbol or design! I, personally, feel that word tattoos have a more clear and intense significance in them.
Perhaps the date you graduated school or other anniversary can be made into a tattoo using the regal looking Roman numerals. The Roman Helmet was worn by brave soldiers and a tattoo of this helmet would symbolize bravery. Other famous Latin philosophies are Errare Humanum Est” (Too Err Is Human), Facta Non Verba” (Deeds, Not Words or Actions Speak Louder Than Words) and Nosce Te Ipsum” (Know Thyself). Web sites such as World Star Free Dictionaries Translators Encyclopedias and The Translation Guide can transform any English words or sentences into Latin. Using these Internet sites, you can convert any saying of your choice into a Latin-phrased tattoo.
